Terry Wallsmith

Terry Wallsmith has been involved in education for 35 years. This time has included classroom instruction and case managing students on Individual Education Plans. For twenty years she was Special Education Department Head at Maple Ridge Secondary and Garibaldi Secondary Schools. During this time she oversaw the evolution of the education system to include students with unique and exceptional needs. She believes education should meet students where they’re at and should involve teaching to their strengths. Terry sees education as a process that prepares students to have a satisfying and successful life in terms of their abilities and interests.
